Is your daughter getting a later start to the sport? Is being in a group with similar-aged kids just as important as learning new skills?

(For girls entering 5th grade & up)

Peer fit is important, especially for tweens and teens looking to learn some new and awesome gymnastics skills.  Gymnasts will work at their own pace with their instructor. Similar to Jr High Tumbling, the class focuses on great fundamentals, so students get a chance to work on Bars, Beam & Vault, as well as their tumbling skills.

  • Each gymnast will be working on foundational skills in their level. These skills are necessary to build upon in order to safely learn and execute more challenging skills. Students may have excellent natural flexibility and strength, however, need to learn proper body placement and shaping in order to make sure skills are executed safely and correctly.
  • Gymnasts will be learning skills on the Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise (Tumbling).
  • All skill sheets have been linked in class descriptions above. You can also check the skills in the Parent Portal. If you wish to connect with a teacher directly, you can contact the front desk for their email address.
  • Make sure to sign up for SpotTV so you can view the classes from your phone!
  • Recreational gymnastics levels are based on skills, not age. There will be quarterly skill check-ins throughout the year- Feb, May, Aug, & Nov, however, movement into the next level can happen once a teacher feels the student is ready.
  • Teachers will let the Front Desk know when a child is ready to advance to another level. The Front Desk will reach out to the families with class day/time options.

In addition to our Recreational Gymnastics Program, we also offer an Xcel Team for gymnasts who have the required skills and would like to experience a taste of competitive gymnastics.
